SAN CARLOS, Calif., Sept. 07, 2017 -- At the annual Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC) Summit, Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. was named a U.S. Rising Star, receiving the Sector Growth Champion award in the cyber security category. A highly esteemed honor in the technology industry, this marks Check Point’s first recognition by the GTDC. The Rising Star Awards distinguish today’s leading technology companies for exceptional sales growth and market share over the past year through their U.S. distribution partners. This award is a testament of Check Point’s continued strength in providing comprehensive security solutions to an expanding market.
“Our Rising Stars are a shining example of how to thrive during an era of disruption,” noted Tim Curran, CEO of the GTDC. “These industry leaders are redefining the standard, demonstrating how to capitalize on shifting trends and market conditions to boost sales and drive performance.”
The U.S. Rising Star Awards are bestowed upon an elite group of vendor partners – only eighteen in total – in categories covering all areas of the IT channel. The cyber security category includes companies that focus on providing industry-leading ideas to the market. Receiving a Rising Star Award further establishes Check Point Software Technologies as a top vendor in the technology industry. Rising Star winners were chosen based on year-over-year sales growth rates and market share leadership, as determined by The NPD Group’s Distributor Track® service. Available by subscription, Distributor Track aggregates actual distributor sell-through data to enable sharp insight into channel sales and pricing trends.
“We are thrilled to be honored as a Rising Star in the 16th annual summit, as it underscores our dedication and commitment to working with, and ensuring the success of, our channel partners,” said Kurt Speck, Head of Channel Sales, Americas, at Check Point Software Technologies. “By providing advanced threat prevention solutions like the Check Point Infinity architecture, we provide our customers with holistic protection against cyber threats of all kinds.”
The GTDC’s 12th U.S. Rising Stars were presented today in San Francisco, California, at an exclusive luncheon during the GTDC Summit. The Summit brings together leaders of today’s most successful technology distributors, their vendor partners’ channel executives, and the industry’s most reputable research and database analysts. Peter Alexander, Chief Marketing Officer at Check Point, was on hand to accept the award.
