The Retail Banking Innovation Conference 2017, organised by the FinTech Network, has announced the names of three keynote speakers for the event that is scheduled to be held on 14th and 15th March 2017 in London.
According to the official announcement, the speakers include Alasdair Smith, Inquiry Chair, Competition and Markets Authority (CMA); Jonatan Alonso, Technology and Operations Director, Santander Group; and Jonathan Webster, Chief Information Officer - Digital and Transformation, Lloyds Banking Group.
Smith will outline the drivers for and context of open banking within retail and the impact open API’s could have for small businesses. Alonso will discuss how Santander Group are attempting to reinvent banking by identifying the building blocks of the bank of the future and addressing the specific challenges incumbents face when executing digital transformation. Webster will be the driving force of a panel discussion that looks at how to manage the political, cultural and technical challenges of digital transformation.
“Our three keynote speakers will be joined by a host of digital leaders who’ll be sharing experience curated from the cutting edge of retail banking”, the announcement reads.
The conference brochure explains that RBI 2017 is focused on the way banks are innovating, managing digital transformation and improving customer experience. It will deliver a minimum of 40% attendance from the UK and European incumbent and challenger banks, thereby offering a highly qualified and relevant audience of innovation, technology and digital decision makers.
The agenda of the conference is focused on the future of retail banking, new retail banking models, innovation models, customers and products, and more.
