While things aren't exactly rosy for the divorcees, the custody procedures over Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's children just turned into a battle.
Ever since June of this year, the couple's custody proceedings over their six children have become more high profile. June was also the time when Angelina Jolie was given a court order to provide Brad Pitt with more time for scheduled visitation and unsupervised phone calls with the children.
The more public setting of the custody proceedings opened up the former couple's interaction to rumors and speculations that paint the duo in a bad light based on absurd assumptions. July was filled with unconfirmed rumors of both Jolie and Pitt digging up dirt on each other to gain an edge during the custody proceedings. Still, June's court order was simply a chance for Brad Pitt to be able to see the Brangelina children more often since the couple's split.
August is where things are verified to have gone sour for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, with Jolie recently claiming that Pitt has been negligent with child support. This has been met by assurances from Pitt's camp that the 54-year-old actor has loaned the “Tomb Raider” actress money to purchase her current residence which the legal team argues constitutes child support. Jolie's camp has fired back at the claims as otherwise.
This is a sad turn of events considering that the former couple have committed to handle their divorce in private and as “a united front” back in 2017. Regarding the whole issue of the suddenly aggressive custody procedures, neither of the Pitt and Jolie legal camps has made any official statements to the public.
