People are making a big deal out of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's custody case. Rumors have been making it look like either of the former couple has been particularly vicious to each other during the proceedings. The specific new rumor being peddled is that Brad Pitt is using the Angelina Jolie's potential association with a known sex offender as leverage in their current custody arbitration.
Gossip Cop has noted that such an accusation, if true, would be ineffective for Pitt, as he himself can be traced back to associating with the concerned sex offender as he was present in the same U.N. Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict. The UNSG has since posted a missive that has clarified how the sex offender is not in any way officially related to the office and its activities.
The rumor of Pitt weaponizing small historical points in the former couples' life is no different from the whole “Dirty Diary” accusation regarding Angelina Jolie during the earlier parts of the custody proceedings.
Brad Pitt may not have a reason to bring up a rumor that Jolie is a potential risk to their children as he already has gained a foothold, with the recent court order providing the adoptive father more parity in seeing his children.
The new court order now allows Pitt to spend time with his children in less restrictive environments. ET has already released an update on the father-children relationship during Brad Pitt's shoot for the Quentin Tarantino film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” The children were spending time with their father at his home in Los Feliz, California during the time the photos were taken and were supposed to be returned to London with Angelina Jolie after July 29.
While there is a possibility that Brad Pitt does gain full custody of Brangelina's children, the court has specified that such a decision would be more than likely if Angelina Jolie willfully withholds the children from their father, Pitt.
