“Bosch” season 5 was renewed early but production started a little later that is why filming just wrapped up recently. Aside from the fact that the fifth installment is on its way, the other good news is that the series’ sixth season has been ordered as well.
After taking a short break from “Bosch” season 5’s filming, the crew is back on the set for the production of season 6. Showrunner Michael Connelly revealed that the sixth installment has been approved via interview.
TV Line quoted the producer as saying, “I’m on the set where we are wrapping up the filming of season 5 and now this great news that we get to do it again with the sixth season. Can’t wait!”
In any case, when “Bosch” season 5 returns the viewers will see Harry Bosch and his team investigating a murder case. The detective went undercover to infiltrate the culprit’s lair and find out what happened to the victim.
With the undercover thing, Titus Welliver (Bosch) told Entertainment Weekly that this is something new for Harry because he had never done it before.
“We’ve never seen Bosch undercover - he’s a homicide detective, so that’s not part of his job description,” the 57-year-old actor said. “But in the pursuit of this case, he has to go undercover, and he has no cellphone, he has no panic button, he can’t wear a wire, and he has no idea where this is going to take him.”
He went on to say, “There comes a moment when even his trusty partner, J. Edgar (Jamie Hector), loses contact with him, and so Bosch is kind of in the wind and completely on his own.”
“Bosch” season 5 is set to premiere on April 19 on Amazon Prime. See the trailer below for more spoilers:
