There have been many theories surrounding the real identity of Koji Kashin. Half of his face is also covered all the time as if teasing manga fans that something big will be revealed about him. That is a very likely happening this month as his fight with Jigen becomes the main event in “Boruto” chapter 44.
‘Boruto’ chapter 44 spoilers, predictions: What to expect
The mission to rescue Naruto has been successful, though fans have yet to see them return to Konohagakure. Chapter 43’s final panels focused on Koji returning to the Kara hideout, reminding fans that he wants to kill Jigen.
“Boruto” chapter 44 will very likely pick up from this sequence, and that means another fight will take place in the manga following the new Team 7’s bout with Boro. Jigen and Koji’s fight is exciting, mainly because of the mysterious persona of the latter.
It is still unclear why he is hell-bent on killing Jigen, who is supposedly his leader. Even more interesting was the revelation that Amado seems to approve the plan of killing Jigen in “Boruto” chapter 44.
The group’s scientist did not explicitly say it, he appeared very nonchalant when Koji returned in their hideout to kill Jigen. Amado even seemingly gave him a few tips when he told Koji that Code, another fierce-looking Kara member, is away guarding the Ten-Tails. Amado also told Koji that Jigen has only regained 10 percent of his overall strength.
A long-running theory suggests that Koji could be Jiraiya, but nothing concrete has appeared to prove it. But there are certainly too many mysteries surrounding the character now that he is intent on killing his supposed leader. Hopefully, “Boruto” chapter 44 will unmask Koji – literally and figuratively – so fans could understand what role he is going to play in this arc focused on karma seals.
‘Boruto’ chapter 44 release date, where to read
“Boruto” chapter 44 will not be released until March 20, so fans still have time to review past chapters and spot more clues that they may have missed about Koji and Amado. Manga readers will be able to read the official English translation for free on the said release date through the websites and mobile apps of Manga Plus and Viz Media.
