For an anime-only storyline that is generally considered a filler arc, the current narrative centered on Mitsuki seems to have dragged out a little too long and it’s not ending anytime soon. In “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Episode 78, Boruto, Sarada and the three Genin of Team 10 will attempt to catch Mitsuki before he enters the Land of Earth.
As seen in the trailer for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Episode 78, Mitsuki is being escorted by ninjas from the Hidden Rock Village, and OtakuKart has noted that one of the ninjas is a Jounin or at least a Jounin-level shinobi, and he is going to block their way. While it is true that Boruto is gifted enough to defeat a formidable opponent like Momoshiki Otsutsuki, the Genin is still inexperienced in actual combat and he may have a difficult time handling his opponent. However, they may get some help in this episode.
“Thankfully, help arrives in time, and possibly a Jounin lets them go ahead while the enemy is taken care of by them. I’d like to think that this is Konohamaru, but it could easily be Moegi as well. We’ll find out soon enough,” Wamiq Fida said in his report for OtakuKart.
It will be interesting to see either Konohamaru or Moegi in action because they haven’t had much screen time in the anime. Fida also speculated that Shikadai may come up with a plan for them to catch up to Mitsuki.
“I think the next episode will be very interesting, and for me, Shikadai will be a central figure,” Fida noted. “The reason I believe that is because Shikadai is a strategist.“
In any case, viewers should see more action in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Episode 78. The episode is scheduled to air on Oct. 21 in Japan, and it will be out on all Anime Streaming sites after its debut.
