It can be said that that Mitsuki arc of the current “Boruto” storyline has been going on for quite a long time, but it does have its moments of satisfying action. This is likely to be the case in “Boruto” Episode 89 where the titular character and his friend, Sarada will be forced to fight each other. Will one of them actually kill the other in the fight for survival?
The thought of the two friends killing each other in “Boruto” Episode 89 might seem absurd right now, but it has happened in the past. The previous incarnation of the show, “Naruto” has often shown how former friends can turn on each other and draw blood. However, the case of Boruto and Sarada is different since they will actually be forced to do so through a puppet technique.
As the clip below shows, “Boruto” Episode 89 will feature the two young ninjas being controlled by the female puppet in Ku’s group Kirara and will be made to fight each other. This is right after they defeated Kakou, as well, which makes the situation all the more frustrating for the characters. She will be using her genjutsu on the pair quite effectively and will not be easy to deal with since her abilities surpass those of a Jounin.
The clip also showcases Mitsuki a bit and what he will be doing in “Boruto” Episode 89. The details are scarce, however, and it would seem that the clone is just walking around doing nothing. Will this arc actually end with him hardly participating while his friends are putting their lives on the line? How in the world will they be able to repair their relationship at this rate?
“Boruto” Episode 89 will be available for viewing on Jan. 13. The episode brings the Mitsuki arc closer to its end, so fans might as well watch it.
