“These fall grants comprise a balanced portfolio of fiscally responsible, effective and innovative programs that align with our mission,” said Anne Marie Dougherty, executive director of the Bob Woodruff Foundation. “We’re excited our recipients include both new programs and longstanding partners who, together, help us effectively address our 2017 priorities.”
Education and Employment grants support programs that help veterans recognize their entrepreneurial aspirations and open up a range of professional opportunities for veterans and their spouses via postgraduate scholarships and professional licensing and certifications.
The Quality of Life portfolio includes adaptive sports, information and resources for those struggling with traumatic brain injury (TBI), and improved legal services for veterans. This portfolio also addresses the needs of children in caregiving families.
The Rehabilitation and Recovery portfolio provides evidence-based, clinical mental health treatment; and also builds a national veteran peer support culture and capability.
