Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are undergoing some difficulty in their relationship at the moment involving the “Hollaback Girl” singer’s ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale. The conflict stems from the Bush vocalist's desire to renegotiate his position in their custody agreement.
Gwent Stefani and Gavin Rossdale enjoyed nearly 20 years of romance together before the latter was caught cheating with their children’s nanny. In 2016, the two officially split as they managed to finalize their divorce. After the breakup, Blake Shelton became the songstress’s next lover and the couple has been going strong ever since.
The pair’s relationship is so solid, in fact, that even Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s three sons developed quite the liking for Blake Shelton. In Touch Weekly reports that this very closeness of the kids with the country singer is causing the Bush frontman to feel he’s being replaced.
The tabloid’s information supposedly comes from an inside source that is privy to the ongoing tension among the trio. However, since there is no official statement released by the parties involved, the publication’s claim should not be considered as an outright fact. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been plagued with rumors throughout their relationship and this Gavin Rossdale jealousy angle might be another false narrative.
Or at least it’s not as bad as the magazine is claiming it to be. In the past, Gavin Rossdale has always said that while he’s now separated from Gwen Stefani, he’s still going to put their kids above everything else. Of course, it’s understandable that Rossdale wants to be part of his children’s lives more. But it isn’t clear if he’s truly harboring some jealousy towards Blake Shelton and his connection with the three boys.
As for the country singer, he said that he’s going to sit this one out but will provide the necessary support for Gwen Stefani as she goes through this new challenge in her life. Blake Shelton has always been attentive to the “Rich Girl” singer’s needs, which is why their relationship is stronger than ever.
