The first movie’s ending did not give much clue on what will happen in “Black Panther 2.” However, a recent alleged plot leak suggested that the sequel will show more of the Jabari tribe while another character from the comic books, Queen Divine Justice, is rumored to be introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
One of the latest reports came from a piece of leaked information circulating around 4Chan, shared by Redditor u/EddyTheMartian. As for “Black Panther 2,” one of the most interesting details mentioned is the introduction of Queen Divine Justice in the film franchise.
In the comic books, Queen Divine Justice is the daughter of a Jabari tribe chieftain named Damola. As the first movie established, the Jabari was not always friendly to the other tribes in Wakanda. Their leader, M’Baku (Winston Duke), even challenged T’Challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) claim to the throne. But Killmonger’s (Michael B. Jordan) havoc changed that dynamic making the Jabari an important ally to defeat the main villain. If she is going to be in “Black Panther 2,” how will she be introduced?
Damola fled Wakanda with his family when there was an attempt to wipe out the Jabari tribe. They ended up living in Chicago as told in the comic books. Though nothing is confirmed at this point, this could be a possible way to introduce Queen Divine Justice in “Black Panther 2.”
However, the leaked information mentioned that Queen Divine Justice is going to be “featured” in “Black Panther 2.” That makes her actual role in the sequel quite vague at this point.
Meanwhile, the same source also seemingly confirms a long-time rumor that Jordan’s Killmonger will return in some capacity on “Black Panther 2.” However, it might have also established that Killmonger is already dead, unlike other fans’ speculations. The leaked information suggested that Killmonger will appear in D’Jalia or the spiritual plane.
Marvel has yet to release specific details about most of the MCU films following “Avengers: Endgame.” The massive success of the first “Black Panther” movie is almost an assurance that a sequel is in the pipeline. However, a release date has not been announced yet, but there are speculations that it could premiere either in late 2020 or early 2021.
