The members of the Black Bull squad will be facing villains from the Eye of the Midnight Sun group in “Black Clover” episode 44. Meanwhile, the vicious-looking Vetto has his eyes set on the magic stone.
The preview of “Black Clover” episode 44 certainly hints that Asta and the other Black Bulls are going for another action-packed battle. This time, it is against the members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun. Vetto wears a demonic glare and creepy grin showing his sharp teeth as he leads the Eye of the Midnight Sun into the scene. He then sarcastically asks the Black Bulls to let them join the “fun,” referring to Black Bulls’ battle that just ended.
Later in the “Black Clover” episode 44 preview, Vetto’s voice is heard in the background saying that he must acquire the magic stone to make the Eye of the Midnight Sun’s goal fulfilled. Avid fans of the franchise know that this villainous group’s sole purpose is to wreck all of Clover Kingdom to the ground.
“Black Clover” episode 44 is titled “The Pointlessly Direct Fireball and the Wild Lightning.” It sounds almost similar to the manga's chapter 64 title “An Unfiltered Fireball and a Wild Lightning Bolt.” This makes sense considering that the anime's episode 43 covered manga chapters 60 to 62 so “Black Clover” episode 44 is apparently covering manga chapter 64.
As shown in the preview, there are also highlight scenes with Luck Voltia and Magna Swing — which is also what happens in the reference manga chapter. Luck and Magna are the ones to face Vetto in “Black Clover” episode 44. And while in battle, they will remember the old times and realize how much they know each other as friends and that they trust each other's fighting skills.
In the manga, Asta saves the day after Luck and Magna run out of counter attacks and Vetto remains unharmed. But, as reports suggest, it would be nice to see some alterations in the anime series where the limelight is taken off Asta for a while and cast onto other characters like Luck and Magna. “Black Clover” episode 44 will be available starting on Aug. 7.
