“Black Clover” Chapter 188 will be coming out next year and fans can’t wait how the Black Bulls will deal with their current situation. Gauche and Marie are still under the control of Droit and Ecra respectively, so it’s difficult for Asta and his party to go all out lest they injure their possessed friends.
The previous release saw Asta leading the attack once again with Henry, Grey, and Gordon providing support from the backlines. “Black Clover” Chapter 188 will probably not end this fight as Droit is only ramping up his attacks and hasn’t shown his real capabilities just yet.
This is quite troubling since Asta has already entered his demon form but still can’t seem to get the upper hand against the elves. Of course, the powers he’s dealing with aren’t exactly a cakewalk either. What’s really interesting in this episode is the fact that the Black Bulls can’t really afford to fully make use of their eyesight. It’s quite reminiscent of the iconic fight between Guy and Itachi in “Naruto,” which brings up another possibility. Will Asta be using the same strategy in “Black Clover” Chapter 188?
The method in question is simply the technique of keeping an eye on one’s opponent by looking at their feet instead of their head. With this, Asta can effectively attack Droit and Ecra without risking paralysis in the process. The problem here is that Droit can bombard Asta with beams in all directions. This means the orphan will not only be on the lookout for Droit and Ecra’s movements but for the mirrors appearing on his blindsides as well. “Black Clover” Chapter 188 will surely be quite tricky to deal with but audiences are confident that manga creator Yuki Tabata can provide satisfying fight sequences next year.
After all, this arc has been one of the most well-received plotlines in the story so far with more promise of epic collisions still on the cards. As for when “Black Clover” Chapter 188 will be released, it’s speculated it will drop two weeks from now, possibly on Jan. 5, 2019.
