Bitbuy, a pioneering Canadian crypto exchange, collaborates with Localcoin, the country's leading cryptocurrency ATM provider, aiming to amplify crypto adoption and bolster their service offerings, marking a significant industry milestone.
Moreover, the ATM provider will also roll out a new wallet app. In any case, WonderFi announced Bitbuy's strategic cooperation with Localcoin on Monday, Sept. 18. As per CoinTelegraph, the deal will help Localcoin expand its crypto ATM offerings across Canada.
This partnership is a major deal as two of Canada's largest crypto companies have come together for a collaborative business venture. Bitbuy was the very first crypto exchange firm that was approved in Canada. At the same time, Localcoin operates the biggest cryptocurrency ATM network here, and users can easily buy and sell Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more.
With their respective positions in the industry, this venture is a major milestone in boosting crypto adoption and accessibility in the region. The ATM supplier chose to team up with Bitbuy due to its scale and commitment to the Canadian market. It is also in a better position with the Canadian regulatory board.
"Our new partnership with Bitbuy is a game-changer. By aligning with such a trusted name in the cryptocurrency space, we're ensuring our users get the most seamless experience," Localcoin's co-founder, Tristan Fong, said in a press release. "This collaboration not only enhances our service offerings but also solidifies our commitment to making cryptocurrency more accessible to Canadians."
Bitbuy's vice president of sales, Jeff Fitzgerald, also commented, "Localcoin represents one of several corporate partners that the Bitbuy Private Wealth and Corporate Solutions desk has successfully partnered with in 2023. In August alone, the number of new corporate clients onboarded increased by nearly 30% compared to the previous month, setting the pace for a record-breaking year in terms of new client growth."
