‘Better Call Saul’ season 5 air date, spoilers: Teaser shows the onset of Jimmy McGill’s transformation to his ‘Breaking Bad’ character

Better Call Saul

“Better Call Saul” season 5 is arriving in a few weeks and while the viewers wait, many spoilers have already cropped up to give some hints about what to expect. After being delayed by AMC, the announcement of release date truly made the fans jump as they have confirmed that the “Breaking Bad” prequel is coming after all after rumors of cancellation.

Details of the delay

It was explained by Sarah Bennet, president of entertainment at AMC, that they had to move the drama’s premiere due to some aspects of the show related to the artists and the whole production. She relayed to Vulture that they needed more time to fix some issues thus it must be delayed although the filming has already been completed in September.

Moreover, it seems that the production officials already knew beforehand that the delay is inevitable. They also clarified that they did not think about discontinuing the show and in fact, it has been planned ahead. “We said on our most recent earnings call that the series would come back for season five next year,” Bennet said in 2018.

The teaser and the major event that it revealed

“Better Call Saul” season 5’s video trailer and photo teasers have been released last month and despite being short and few, many things have been divulged. The clip and images revealed the returning characters and the plot for the premiere.

It can be confirmed that “Better Call Saul” season 5 will show how Jimmy McGill will transform to become his “Breaking Bad” character of Saul Goodman. The premiere episode showed Jimmy being brought to the den of convicts and it can be assumed that this is the beginning of his association with them until he turns into a full-blown evil person.

Returning characters

Based on the photos and video teaser, Bod Odenkirk, Nacho (Michael Mando), Huell (Lavell Maurice Crawford), Mike (Jonathan Banks), Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) and Kim (Rhea Seehorn) are definitely returning to reprise their roles in “Better Call Saul” season 5. It is not known yet if there will be new cast additions.

“Better Call Saul” season 5 has been confirmed to arrive at AMC on Fen. 23 at 10 p.m.
