“Better Call Saul” season 5 was delayed, that is why fans are staying tuned to any announcement from AMC. The fact that the series already wrapped up filming some months ago means that the premiere is near, but they still have to wait until the release.
Now, the good news has finally come and AMC has an official release date for “Better Call Saul” season 5. The show’s premiere was announced after a month since the release of the “Breaking Bad” movie prequel titled “El Camino.”
Airdate
“Better Call Saul” season 5 will arrive on Feb. 23, 2020, as revealed through a teaser. It was added that AMC would be airing the first two episodes upon premiere and this is a big treat to fans who have been waiting for a long time. For viewers in the UK, it should be noted that it will be streamed via Netflix starting Feb. 24, 2020.
Entertainment Weekly reported that the first two episodes of “Better Call Saul” season 5 will start airing at 10 p.m. on Feb. 23 (Sunday), while the second one will be shown on its regular schedule on Monday at 9 p.m. The show will offer just 10 episodes in all for this season.
Spoilers and cast
Based on the photo stills that were released, Jimmy McGill is getting into an argument with his colleagues after taking his first case. This is probably because he chose to defend a con-man? In any case, in a separate video teaser, titled “Joyride,” the lawyer was shown in the backseat of a vehicle and he looks uncomfortable since there are guns inside.
This just revealed that McGill’s transformation to Saul Goodman is happening as his association with the crooks is being presented in the opening of “Better Call Saul” season 5. This is actually sad because once he fully transitioned into the bad persona of his “Breaking Bad” character called Goodman, he is bound to lose his friends including Kim Wexler.
As for the cast of the upcoming “Better Call Saul” season 5, the teasers confirmed that Nacho (Michael Mando), Kim (Rhea Seehorn), Huell (Lavell Maurice Crawford), Mike (Jonathan Banks) and Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) are returning to the drama. Of course, Bob Odenkirk will be coming back as the main star, reprising his role as Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman.
