Kristen Stewart 2018: Warner Bros. Wants Robert Pattinson's Ex-Girlfriend or Someone Like Her

When talking about a character like “Batgirl” from the DC Comics and “Batman” franchise, some actress names likely pop up more often than others. For Warner Bros., it seems this name is Kristen Stewart. This is what a source that has been proven reliable in the past seems to be indicating. As to whether it needs to be the Twilight franchise star herself or just someone like her remains to be seen.

As We Got This Covered notes, the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con is winding down, but details about upcoming properties are still coming out. In the case of the planned “Batgirl” movie, Twitter user “Daniel R” noted that Warner Bros. wants a so-called “Kristen Stewart prototype” to play the character.

“At WB they described the kind of actress they want for Barbara Gordon as "Kristen Stewart prototype" so I guess they really want her to play Babs... (In her solo movie, cuz she's not in Birds of Prey AT ALL),” the Tweet reads.

This user has proven to be a reliable source of information with regards to DC in the past. As such, there’s a good chance that what “Daniel R” is sharing now about Kristen Stewart might actually be true. Of course, this doesn’t mean that everyone agrees with the sentiment.

There are those who have their own opinions on who should play the iconic comic book and animated character, with Geek Tyrant having Jane Levy or Hailee Steinfeld in mind. As to why Warner Bros. might even want to get someone like Kirsten Stewart, there’s really no clear answer to that.

For starters, the actress has not exactly had that many hits since her stint as Snow White in “Snow White and The Huntsman” film. However, she has proven her acting chops with her recent films such as “Clouds of Sils Maria” and “Certain Women.” So, while Kristen Stewart might not immediately come to mind when discussing potential Batgirls, she might just be able to pull it off.
