The ice cream and cake chain has described the outlet as a hybrid-type store since it has a shop and a research lab in one place. The R&D area is where Baskin-Robbins will test new flavors and directly sell them to customers if they are ready for release.
With this, Baskin-Robbins is expected to develop many new flavors and introduce them to Korean customers for the first time. The company said in the lab is called the AI NPD (new product development) model.
This is a recipe system that will allow the creation of new flavors through the use of ChatGPT. It also has a function where operators can visualize the end product of the flavors being developed.
