BTS, the phenomenal South Korean boy band, would like to share their blessings this holiday season. The members consisting of RM, Jimin, Jin, J-Hope, V, Jungkook, and Suga decided to do charity by donating custom-made microphones that they used from 2017 to 2019.

The beneficiary of the auction

Page Six reported that BTS also signed the mics before it was shipped to the U.S. and offered for auction through Julien’s Auctions located in California. It was said that proceeds from the sale of the group’s item would go to MusiCares, a non-profit foundation that was established in 1989 and linked with the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in 1993.

It was said that MusiCares holds many fundraising projects to help people in the music industry who are struggling due to financial needs, health, and more. Aside from the BTS mics, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith also donated some guitars and trademark scarves and mics too.

In any case, Julien’s Auction is the very first auction house that was able to acquire an item from the Kpop superstar group. The bidding for the BTS mics was set to close on Jan. 24.

"Kingsman" creator expressed interest in BTS

The auction is not all because as BTS is also gaining huge followers in the U.S., many music producers and American singers have expressed interest in collaborating with them. The members have also met many international stars as well, like Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Chalie Puth, and have already teamed up with Halsey and Steve Aoki.

Now there are reports that BTS has also gotten the attention of movie producers, and in fact, the “Kingsman” creator Mark Millar recently said that he is actually considering using one of the group’s songs in the next “Kingsman” film. He said that he could either add an existing one or perhaps, have the group produce a song for his movie.

Millar’s interest in BTS was divulged when a fan left a comment on Twitter, and the producer replied. “I have an idea, why don't you cast BTS on the next Kingsman movie, maybe the South Korea division. that would be legendary,” the fan wrote. “Me and my parents love your movies btw.”

To this comment, Millar replied, “Actually, given the big Kingsman fan-base in Asia, I personally think it would be very cool to have BTS do a SONG for one of the movies." This response is short, but fans have flocked to social media to say how pleased they are for the idea, and the creator is actually considering having the band in the movie even if through a song.
