BTS Jimin has turned 26 on Oct. 13 and fans around the world band together to celebrate his special day. Of course, the #JiminDay trended on social media which is not surprising anymore as BTS is always on the top of searches these days.
Fans also gifted BTS Jimin with various events and charity works which apparently made the idol singer proud of his huge fan base. In any case below are some of the extraordinary presents that the singer received from fans.
A special song
South China Morning Post reported that fans composed a special song for Jimin’s day. Vietnamese fans have put up a song titled “Sarang” which means “Love” in Korean. The lyrics showed how much they adore the BTS member.
It may sound very cheesy but this is how BTS Jimin’s fans feel. Part of the lyrics reads: “You’re a shining light. We’ll be your lights and by your side. Love gives us power, and you become our angel.”
Eco-friendly gift
There is also a gift that helps other people. Jimin’s Indonesian fans organized a fund-raising so they can plant mangroves that can save thousands of lives. The project has been called “1,000 Trees for BTS Jimin” or simply Jimin’s Birthday Project.
The fundraising was held from Sept. 25 to Oct. 4 and it was said that over 1,800 fans participated in the efforts. With the money, they planted 8,735 mangrove trees that will help protect a coastal village in Central Java, Indonesia. This place is in danger of severe flooding so they are hoping that the trees would save lives and livelihoods in the area and nearby towns.
“This is a fan project from INDONESIAN ARMY,” the fan club tweeted as a caption to a video showing the mangrove trees being planted. They added that they organized the campaign for Jimin's birthday and successfully planted thousands of mangrove trees.
Jimin ads in Dubai
Lastly, BTS Jimin’s Chinese fans put up birthday ads in Dubai’s and the world’s biggest mall. The Park Jimin Bar screened the idol’s birthday ads for a week starting Oct. 9. It was said that Jimin’s image flashed on over 340 screens around the mall.
