BETHLEHEM, Pa., March 01, 2018 -- B. Braun Medical Inc. will showcase its innovative technology portfolio at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference and Exhibition, March 5 – 8 in Las Vegas.
During this year’s HIMSS Interoperability Showcase™ tour, attendees will have an opportunity to observe B. Braun participating in a Cardiovascular & Diabetes Risk Use Case scenario, demonstrating its integration capabilities with Epic, Spōk, GuardRFID, Philips and Omnicell.
“We look forward to the opportunity to interact with other healthcare professionals at HIMSS to demonstrate how our latest technologies are used in the same kind of clinical scenarios our customers face every day,” said Tom Sutton, Vice President of Marketing, Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Systems at B. Braun Medical. “We are deeply committed to improving patient and clinician safety, and enhancing healthcare outcomes.”
Additionally, at its booth #13054, B. Braun will showcase the benefits of its Infusomat® Space Infusion Pump when wirelessly integrated with a healthcare provider’s EMR system by demonstrating its AutoCOMPLETE™ Integrated EMR functions. AutoCOMPLETE includes AutoProgramming, AutoDocumentation and AutoNotification – the highest level of integration on B. Braun’s Synchronized Intelligence™ Infusion Platform and the first, wireless integrated technology system for IV pump infusion that is IHE certified for all three AutoCOMPLETE integration functions. The company also will demonstrate real-time infusion insight available with its DoseTrac® Infusion Management Software, a complimentary tool for continuous quality improvement, drug library, and AutoProgramming compliance tracking.
In addition to AutoCOMPLETE interoperability, integration is available with real-time location system (RTLS) and alarm management systems. STANLEY Healthcare, (booth #2243), will be discussing integration between B. Braun’s Infusomat pump and their RTLS MobileView application.
To further underscore the utility of a similar type of interoperability technology, McLaren Flint Hospital, a pump customer of B. Braun Medical, will give a presentation titled, Real ROI: Using RTLS to Improve Pump Utilization and Save $1M. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, March 6, from 4 - 5 p.m., at Galileo 901*.
B. Braun’s Infusomat pump is the first step to a wireless, integrated technology system that can help clinicians achieve 100% drug library compliance, minimize medication errors and reduce alarms and alerts. Its compact and intuitive design allows for flexibility and easy transport within a healthcare facility, promoting efficiencies in hospital or outpatient settings.
*Verify location in HIMSS session catalog in the event of room change.
