SAN FRANCISCO, March 14, 2018 -- Astound Commerce, the world’s largest privately-held ecommerce agency, has made several strategic hires in Toronto to launch its Canadian office and spearhead continued growth of its commerce services. The new team members’ extensive experience gives Astound Commerce’s customers greater access to ecommerce strategy, content and product information solutions as well as marketing technology expertise to enhance the buyer journey.
With digital marketing spending expected to reach nearly $120 billion by 2021 in the US alone, the need for a more integrated set of ecommerce and marketing solutions for brands and retailers is greater than ever. With Astound Commerce’s expansion in Toronto, the agency can now provide a deeper bench of experts in ecommerce integrations and marketing automation for Canadian and global clientele. Additionally, the Toronto team’s proficiency in the Salesforce Marketing and Commerce Cloud platforms amplifies Astound’s expertise in one of the most popular cloud platforms on the market.
“We’re excited to have these dynamic and skilled professionals join the Astound Commerce team,” said Igor Gorin, CEO of Astound Commerce. “Establishing a presence in Canada will help us further deliver on our mission to provide global experience and local expertise for brands and retailers around the world. The Toronto team will play a critical role in the success of our customers as the retail industry continues to evolve.”
Corey Messom joins Astound Commerce as Managing Director for Canada. Messom is an ecommerce and marketing veteran with more than 20 years of experience as a leader in retail, commerce and marketing technology. With his strong expertise in mobile and online solutions, cloud infrastructure, and commerce application integration, he will be a valuable leader on the team. Before joining Astound Commerce, he led commerce and technology development at Sears Canada.
“I’m excited to incorporate the team’s extensive skills into Astound Commerce’s market-leading ecommerce offerings,” Messom said. “As ecommerce continues to operate without borders, it’s become increasingly important to offer local support for clients that operate around the globe. Marketing is a crucial part of every company’s larger digital strategy, and we’re excited to help Astound Commerce customers increase their market share and drive customer loyalty long term.”
Kristin de Clerville will also join the Toronto team as senior engagement lead. Prior to her position at Astound Commerce, she spent almost two years developing and managing digital marketing campaigns that supported brand strategies and customer engagement for Sears Canada. De Clerville has more than a decade of marketing experience and a strong background in supporting Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
As Salesforce’s 2017 Global Delivery Partner of the Year, Astound Commerce is a leader in Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations. In tandem with the Toronto team’s Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise, Astound Commerce customers have unmatched access to Salesforce implementation expertise. To bolster this practice even further and to expand the global capabilities, Craig Turner, Tony Munene and Lou Cicconi also bring their extensive ecommerce, retail systems and technology talent to the new Canadian office, rounding out the Astound Commerce Canadian dream team.
This announcement comes on the heels of Astound Commerce’s recent merger with customer experience and software solutions company Fluid, creating a next-generation commerce-led digital agency. The integrated company provides the world-class digital design, consulting and engagement marketing along with technical expertise and global scale required to stand out in a crowded ecommerce landscape.
