The newly released game “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” received a large patch, Title Update 1.0.4, recently that mainly benefits those playing on PlayStation and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Ubisoft has also addressed balancing issues that were observed in the few weeks that the game has been in the market.
‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’ should now play at high framerate on new consoles
The main feature of the recent “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” update is adding the Performance and Quality setting for the newest consoles from Microsoft and Sony. Enabling the Performance option will let the game automatically adapt a favorable resolution and graphic settings to maintain a 60fps framerate.
The Quality setting, on the other hand, sets the game’s visual settings at the maximum while the framerate only stays at 30fps. The Performance setting will be enabled by default on PS5 and Xbox Series X while “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” will be initially setting to Quality setting on Xbox Series S.
‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’ update addresses balancing issues
Note that “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” was also released on other gaming platforms such as PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. And Ubisoft also showed them some love in the same patch as a long list of bug fixes and improvements have been deployed for all gaming systems where the game is playable. The patch notes include several enhancements on the video effects, and players can now store up to 82 items of fabric. Traders will now automatically have fabric once the settlement reaches level 6. The sections for Weapon Runes and Armor Runes are already properly labeled as well.
In the balancing department, Ubisoft has issued corrections on the value of gear and gear quality being displayed. “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” players should now be able to view the Assassination damage points on the character stats page. Players should notice that skill nodes are now taken into consideration to accurately adjust heavy and light attacks. Range attacks will not have heavy attack modifiers anymore. The update also removed duplicate gear from inventory.
Before the release of Title Update 1.0.4, “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” players also noticed some errors that did not necessarily ruin the gameplay but are just bizarre. For one, players previously noticed that dogs start to float when Eivor tries to pet them.
