The next major patch for "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla," Title Update 1.5.0, is almost here. Ubisoft has released details on the upcoming changes, including stealth improvements and support for the game's third expansion, "Dawn of Ragnarok," ahead of its release next month.

Players should notice an improvement in the AI reaction to the whistle once they update "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" to version 1.5.0. Enemies should no longer easily detect the players when they use environmental traps. There had been reports where wild animals easily detect Eivor and alert enemies regardless of his distance and angle, which the developer said will be fixed in this week's update as well.

Title Update 1.5.0 primarily prepares "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" for the arrival of "Dawn of Ragnarok." The third expansion offers a key turning point in the game's lore as it primarily revolves around Eivor's journey embracing the fact that they are the reincarnation of the Norse god Odin. This development paves way for the main protagonist to acquire new divine powers as they take on new missions in the Svartalfheim.

Eivor will gain shape-shifting abilities or resurrect opponents in exchange for their alliance. Ubisoft says "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" players can also "transform" their skin into magma to have a better fighting chance. But these new abilities are not going to be handed to Eivor that easily. The protagonist will "absorb" these new powers after defeating enemies.

Players who are just joining "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" can skip the expansions before "Dawn of Ragnarok." Ubisoft says they will immediately start at Power Level 340 and will have access to "a predefined selection of gear and weapons."

The next "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" update will also introduce the Saga Difficulty Mode designed for players who want to enjoy the game's story without worrying much about combat and stealth. In this new game mode, the developer says, "Enemies inflict less damage and don't scale with players." Players will also have more time to complete tasks in stealth mode after they are detected by enemies.

Fans can read the much longer list of gameplay fixes and improvements in the Title Update 1.5.0 full patch notes. The update will go live on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 12 pm UTC / 1 pm CET / 7 am EST / 4 am PST / 11 pm AEDT. File sizes on different platforms range from ~3.60GB (PS5) to ~15.09GB (PC).
