UK, London, Aug. 23, 2017 -- Following the last two years of record sales in the commodity trading and risk management software space, the first 6 months of 2017 have seen Aspect’s bookings percentage see double digit growth, signing new business, and extending contracts with existing clients.

Aspect’s new business through two quarters included new deals in the UAE, Athens and Estonia. AspectCTRM won over competitors on the back of its experienced pre-sales teams and its ability to show the growing strength of its Aspect brand, and how Aspect CTRM software can solve challenges in hedging, storage and logistics. Trade support for new clients includes LPG, crude oil and oil products for deals in the Far East, North Sea, Mediterranean and West Africa.
According to one new client, whose name is confidential, “It was Aspect’s sales and presales team’s domain and market knowledge that really sold it for us. We plan to take advantage of market opportunities with AspectCTRM to support our growing LPG business.”
Aspect’s OTC paper hedges and freight P&L functionality will play an important component in moving LPG around the world.
Aspect’s existing clients have expanded with additional licenses for more users, with almost $2.5M in new licenses by just three of its clients. Anglo American, its large metals trading client has extended further out with more users and additional years added to its contract, showing its satisfaction with Aspect.
Aspect also added to its trove of awards, with more recognition. At gala events in Houston and London, Aspect proudly accepted the Energy Risk award for top ETRM / CTRM Software. Aspect also received a second award being named number 1 Cloud CTRM solution globally through the Annual Energy Risk Rankings Report.
Aspect CIO Chetna Bhatia accepted on Aspect’s behalf in London saying, “It was really special because we accepted the coveted industry awards with some of our clients including The Klesch Group, and Berkeley Energy.”
