EA announced that mobile gamers around the world can now pre-register for “Apex Legends Mobile” if they have compatible Android devices. It is unclear yet when pre-launch tests will open to more regions, but the publisher says it is aiming for a full launch in the coming months.
The publisher released a one-minute teaser on the official “Apex Legends Mobile” page on Twitter to announce that Android users can now pre-register for the game. Note, however, that pre-registration is only available on Android via Google Play Store at the moment. The game’s website says pre-registration is “coming soon for iOS,” but EA did not provide a specific date.

Several users from Europe and North America replying to the official tweet confirmed they were able to pre-register already. EA also said players in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau can join the global pre-registration. But they will still have to wait before they can actually install a pre-launch version of “Apex Legends Mobile.”
After the regional testing that kicked off last year, EA soft-launched “Apex Legends Mobile” in 10 countries earlier this month. Android and iOS users can now play the game in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia on Android and iOS. But EA confirmed all progress and microtransaction purchases will be refreshed once the game officially launches.
An FAQ for the opening of the “Apex Legends Mobile” global pre-registration listed specs requirements as well. Android devices need to have at least the Snapdragon 435, Hisilicon Kirin 650, Mediatek Helio P20, or Exynos 7420 SoCs, Android 6.0 operating system OpenGL 3.1 or higher, 4GB free storage space, and 2GB RAM. If Android users are not seeing a pre-register button on the Play Store, their device might not have the proper specs to run the game.
EA also reiterates that the “Apex Legends Mobile” will not support cross-platform play with consoles and PC. Meanwhile, the video teaser confirms the mobile game will feature a mini royale mode and new limited-time modes.
The official release date of “Apex Legends Mobile” is still unknown, but EA maintains its plans to launch the full version of the game this year. “At present, we’re hopeful for a full launch this summer,” the publisher said.
