With the previous go-around of “American Horror Story” offering plenty of exciting developments for the fans, viewers are excited to see what “American Horror Story” Season 9 will be offering. It would appear that the wait will not be for too long since reports suggest that production will begin in a few months. What’s more, it would seem that Disney’s acquisition of Fox will not impact the show’s seemingly endless incarnations.
As Comic Book reports, production for “American Horror Story” Season 9 will supposedly begin in June. This is great news for fans because it means that they will not have to wait for years before they get another round of quality horror TV. This kind of schedule could mean that the ninth season might come out next year.
In any case, it would also seem that the acquisition of Fox and its properties by Disney will have no impact on the show itself. There were initial fears that the company’s propensity to go for more family-friendly content might not allow something like “American Horror Story” to be associated with them. However, it would seem that the “American Horror Story” Season 9 production news proves these fears to be baseless.
As for how long the show will actually go on for after “American Horror Story” Season 9, the decision has supposedly been left up to showrunner Ryan Murphy. At least, this is what FX Networks CEO John Landgraf said about the series’ fate.
“Up to Ryan Murphy,” Landgraf said. “It’s up to how long he wants to keep going and how many years he has inspired ideas.”
Suffice it to say, this news can only be music to the ears of fans looking forward to “American Horror Story” Season 9. There might not be a set premiere date for the show’s return, but it shouldn’t go beyond 2020.
