‘American Horror Story’ season 6’s episode 9 finally revealed the last survivor from the brutal events around the murder house ahead of the season finale scheduled to premiere on FX on November 16, 2016.

According to a recap on USA Today, Adina Porter’s Lee Harris is officially the last one standing following the multiple deaths that took place in the penultimate episode. She was the only one left alive with a little help from her forest witch friend Scathach (Alexandra Daddario).

At one point in the episode, Lee and Audrey (Sarah Paulson) return to the Polk house to look for Monet (Angela Basset) and find the tapes of the Polk’s murders. The two women split up, with Audrey tasked at finding Monet while Lee goes look for the tapes.

Audrey is attacked by the by Lot Polk but manages to shoot him while Lee returns to the truck secured by Dylan (Wes Bentley). However, Lee is chased into the woods by Ishmael Polk, who attacked Dylan. Lee is then attacked and possessed by Scathach in the woods.

Lee then proceeds to murder Todd (Jacob Artist), one of the three young bloggers, as well as Monet. She attempts to kill Audrey too but is incapacitated. When Audrey attempts to escape to the storm cellar, she is stopped by Lee, cleaved, and is pushed down the bunker.

The possessed woman also captures the two remaining bloggers Milo (Jon Bass) and Sophia (Taissa Farmiga) and delivers them to Thomasin (Kathy Bates) and her mob. Although they beg for their lives, they are impaled and then burned alive.

By morning, police alive at the scene and witness the carnage. They also find Lee with no recollection of what took place the night before. Meanwhile, Audrey manages to crawl out of the bunker and proceeds to pull a gun on Lee, unaware that the latter was possessed by Scathach. However, Audrey is killed by police before she could shoot Lee.

According to A.V. Club, it was surprising to have Lee as the last woman standing. The character admitted to killing her husband and burning his corpse, making her “unlikeable” among viewers. It would be interesting to see if she remains alive in the finale, scheduled to premiere on November 16.

‘American Horror Story’ season 6’s episode 9, entitled “Chapter 9”, aired on FX on November 9. It was directed by Alexis Korycinski and written by Tim Minear.
