NEW YORK, Aug. 02, 2017 -- The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA), a national non-profit organization which provides care and support services to people living with Alzheimer’s disease throughout the country, announced the appointment of Chris Schneider as its new Director of Communications.
“We are very excited to have Chris Schneider as part of the AFA team,” said Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr., AFA’s President & CEO. “AFA is extremely passionate about helping people and providing services to those in need. Chris shares that same passion and has spent his entire professional life serving others. He will be a valuable addition to our staff and help us continue to grow and assist even more families who are fighting this terrible disease.”
Chris Schneider brings over 14 years of public service experience to his new position. Before joining AFA, he served as a Director of Communications in the New York State Senate, where he worked to help connect people with services, organized and implemented community programs and kept the public and media informed about a wide variety of public policy and legislative issues. Chris is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where he earned two bachelor’s degrees.
