SINGAPORE, Oct. 17, 2017 -- AdroitLogic, the company that allows enterprises to connect applications, systems and partners with high performance capabilities, today announced the release of a components pack enabling its high-performance Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) UltraESB-X to integrate with Apache Kafka clusters.
Originating at LinkedIn and now a top level project of the Apache Software Foundation, Apache Kafka is a high-performance messaging platform offering massive throughput, persistence and guaranteed delivery. Since its first public release in 2011, Apache Kafka has gained wide adoption in almost all enterprise domains involving real-time data streaming, and is currently in production at more than a third of the Fortune 500 companies.
With the recently released Kafka connectors, UltraESB-X is now capable of seamlessly integrating with Kafka clusters of varying scales. The Kafka Ingress Connector can ingest messages from specific Kafka topics into UltraESB-X integration flows, whereas the Kafka Egress Connector can deliver messages to Kafka topics for further processing or persistence.
With this newly-introduced Kafka integration, users can leverage the full potential of the powerful mediation capabilities of UltraESB-X—including routing, transformation, extraction, replication, split-aggregation and various other enterprise integration patterns—to perform advanced processing on data ingested from Kafka, as well as to stream data and events from various sources—including HTTP, JMS, cron-triggers, S/FTP, JDBC, AS2, SAP, and even Kafka itself—into high-throughput Kafka systems. Flexibility of the integrated development environment UltraStudio enables users to quickly build fully customized solutions to integrate Kafka clusters with their internal and partner systems, and to test, deploy, scale, manage and monitor them with complementary deployment management and monitoring solutions such as AdroitLogic IMonitor-X and AdroitLogic IPS.
AdroitLogic has also published an end-to-end sample demonstrating real-time user activity tracking with Kafka, which can be readily tried out on their enterprise integration toolkit UltraStudio.
