The 2018 Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference will take place on March 16 – 17 at the Colorado Convention Center. One of the nation’s premier forums for advocating and advancing early childhood education, RMECC 2018 will bring together a broad array of stakeholders, early childhood practitioners, business leaders and policymakers for premium presentations on the extensive range of topics that impact early care and education.

This year, RMECC will be featuring Enrique "Hank" C. Feldman, President and Director of Educational Training and Evolved Learning of the Fostering Arts-Mind Education Foundation. Feldman, who is also an active composer and classical and jazz artist, is scheduled to speak in the morning on Saturday, March 17.
The Fostering Arts-Mind Education Foundation focuses on at-risk urban and rural youth, pre-k through grade 12. The nonprofit’s objectives include the crafting of sustainable educational models, which are statistically proven to enrich the classroom and home learning environment. By training teachers with the foundation’s artistic and holistic based Life Learning techniques, children improve their academic and social progress.
This two-day conference, now in its seventh year, meets the professional development needs of early childhood practitioners, while at the same time providing a setting for community advocates to learn, share and network.
RMECC 2018 will offer workshops and presentations in 11 tracks: Child Physical Health, Safety & Nutrition; Guidance & Positive Behavior Support; Leadership, Management & Administration; Early Childhood Systems, Governance & Policy; Grants Management, Contracting & Finance; Family & Community Partnerships; Child Development & Learning; Teaching Practice, Literacy & STEAM;
Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health; Inclusive Practices & Multicultural Principles; and Mindfulness & Self-Care. Attendees can earn up to six hours of ongoing training credits per day during the two-day conference.
Online registration for RMECC 2018 will open in November. For more information about the conference, email [email protected], or call 720-296-0633.
