“The Resident” season 2 episode 6 is the official Halloween special of the installment. During the spookiest night of the year, Conrad (Matt Czuchry) looks after a patient suffering from “extreme night terrors.”
As viewers can see in the “The Resident” season 2 episode 6 preview, the Halloween special is likely going to center on Conrad’s patient named Laurie Dante (Bailey Noble). Unfortunately, her nightmares will peak at a time when most people in the neighborhood is wearing a spooky costume.
“The Resident” season 2 episode 6 previews hints that Conrad considers the possibility that Laurie is suffering from schizophrenia. Her terrifying nightmares will start to seem very realistic for her.
The patient starts feeling like a low-budget Freddy Krueger image is chasing her even inside Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. At one point in “The Resident” season 2 episode 6, she runs through a glass wall in Chastain.
The official synopsis for “The Resident” season 2 episode 6 also reveals that Nic (Emily VanCamp) will be dealing with her own dilemma this Halloween. Her “newly sober sister” Jessie (Julianna Guill) attends a Halloween party hosted by Mina (Shaunette Renee Wilson) following Nic’s invitation. While Nic possibly just wants to spend a good time with Jesse in “The Resident” season 2 episode 6, bringing her to a temptation-filled environment is a decision that the fan-favorite nurse will regret.
It can be recalled that the first time Nic and Jesse were together in the series, it resulted in the wrongful arrest of the Chastain nurse. Hopefully, no one ends up in prison in “The Resident” season 2 episode 6 while Jessie is around.
Nic and Conrad are facing their own issues in “The Resident” season 2 episode 6 and they most likely have to resolve it on their own. CarterMatt suggests that this makes the upcoming Halloween special a good chance for fans to witness Nic become her own character — outside Conrad’s shadows.
Luckily, the series’s regular schedule lands “The Resident” season 2 episode 6 close to the real day of Halloween. Catch “Nightmares” on Monday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
