Innovate Finance to host first fintech startup contest ‘Pitch360’ in April 2017

Innovate Finance, an independent membership-based organisation representing the UK’s global fintech community, today announced the launch of its first ever fintech startup competition ‘Pitch360’.

The initiative aims to strengthen the global fintech community by showcasing the latest trending innovations in financial services. The participating candidates will get exposure to a captive audience of key influencers, investors and media professionals as well as access to Innovate Finance’s member community.

Pitch360 is a platform for startups and enterprises to make a 360-second (6 minute) ‘pitch’ of their new business and product in front of a live audience comprising financial institutions, influencers, investors and startups from the global fintech community, as well as a panel of high profile judges including Kosta Peric, Deputy Director of Financial Inclusion at the Gates Foundation and Rumi Morales, Executive Director for CME Ventures at CME Group.

The competition is open to startups and institutions from around the world. Those shortlisted for the prize will compete with each other during an afternoon of demos at Innovate Finance’s Global Summit, scheduled to take place at The Guildhall, London on 10th - 11th April 2017. They will also be able to exhibit at the event, which attracts a global audience of 2000 delegates.

Finalists will be announced and invited to pitch in February 2017. All successful applicants will receive complimentary exhibiting space on day two of the summit and two complimentary tickets to attend. The winner will be given £10,000 prize money, a press package that includes media introductions and training, top policy and legal advice from Hogan Lovells, one year’s complimentary membership to Innovate Finance and two complimentary tickets to the 2018 Innovate Finance Global Summit.

Innovate Finance is looking for fintech startups that work in fields such as distributed ledger/blockchain, financial inclusion, cyber security, cross border payments, peer-to-peer and alternative funding, RegTech, personal finance management and Robo Advice, AI and machine learning and sandboxes.

To enter Pitch360 applicants need to fill out an online form. The deadline for submitting applications is Monday 16th January 2017.
