Global Geo-political Series: DPRK state media releases photos of Kim Jong-Un seeing the Guam strike plan

The state owned media of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) has released photos of their supreme leader Kim Jong-Un, who is seen observing military plans to strike the US overseas territory Guam with his generals. One large map on the table appeared to show a straight line between northeastern North Korea and Guam, a US territory in the western Pacific that is home to American military bases including a naval base and an air base. The line passed through Japan and apparently showed the flight route of four ballistic missiles Pyongyang has threatened to fire at Guam, which is 3,200 km (2,000 miles) from North Korea's capital.

The state media reported Kim Jong saying that it would be a historically delightful moment when the missiles wring the windpipes of the Yankees and point daggers at their necks. He also reportedly warned that the United States that missile strikes could be imminent if, “Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions on the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity”. It is being reported that he has urged the United States to think reasonably and judge properly.

US President Donald Trump has said that the ongoing pressure campaign is bearing fruits and it is aimed to make North Korea understand what is at stake here. He also said that military options are locked and loaded and the United States is ready to unleash fire and fury if North Korea continues to threaten America and its allies.

While war rhetoric remains heightened, it also being reported that the DPRK leader has delayed a decision to strike Guam.
