Fans will find Mikasa, Levi, and other members of their squad scrambling to the Reiss church to rescue Eren, who is still captured by the royal family. “Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 6 — titled “Sin” — will also reveal one important detail about Grisha.

The fifth episode of “Attack on Titan” season 3 has just aired. But fans can now find a brief video teaser for “Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 6. The 30-second video reveals very little details about the next episode but fans who have read the manga series — specifically chapter 62 — likely know what’s going to happen.

While some tweaks could be applied in the upcoming anime episode, fans can still get major hints from the same title manga chapter. Two major events are possibly happening in “Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 6: Mikasa and others come closer to saving Eren and Eren learning about his father Grisha’s past actions.

After the people of Mitras are informed that the Survey Corps has ousted the Royal Government, Hange goes to meet Levi and Mikasa to discuss Eren’s rescue. Hange relays information to Mikasa and Levi explains the motives behind the kidnapping of Eren and Historia.

Hange then tells Mikasa and Levi that once a Titan is consumed by another, its power can be transferred to the one who consumes it. The rescue crew then draws the conclusion that the Reiss family intends to consume Eren. Considering that the Reiss chapel holds an important and gruesome part of the Reiss family’s past, Squad Levi concludes that Eren will be brought there to be eaten.

Eren gains consciousness in a dungeon and later finds Rod and Historia. In the manga series, this is the beginning of a major revelation in the franchise that involves Grisha. And it is expected to be once again told in “Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 6.

In the manga, Eren suddenly gets a vision of someone else’s memories after Historia and Rod touch his back. The flashback sequence recalls the night that Wall Maria was destroyed and the Reiss family was attacked in their chapel. It is interesting how the memory of the fall of Wall Maria will be presented in anime form in “Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 6.

Not to spoil everything, what can be said for now is that Eren’s upcoming flashback scenes reveal what Grisha’s role played in the night the Wall Maria fell and, more importantly, in the death of Freida Reiss. “Attack on Titan” season 3 episode 6, airing on Aug. 26, holds a very significant piece of the puzzle about the serum Grisha previously injected into Eren.
