Starbucks has a new plant-based beverage to offer to vegan customers or those who simply want to go for alternatives without animal-derived ingredients. The American coffee chain announced the arrival of its new dairy-free bottled frappuccinos, and they are available in two flavors.
The ever-growing demand for plant-based food items is one of the reasons that pushed Starbucks coffee to release another “vegan” drink option, and this time, the chain is introducing frappuccinos.
According to Green Queen, this type of coffee beverage has already been proven to be a favorite among Starbucks customers and coffee lovers. Thus, Starbucks has a line of flavors under the frappuccino category. However, this is the very first time that the company is adding a ready-to-drink or RTD version of a vegan drink.
Starbucks dropped the Caramel Waffle Cookie and Dark Chocolate Brownie flavors for its plant-based bottled frappuccino line. It was reported that these two drinks will also remain exclusively under the coffee brand’s oat milk offerings.
“Starbucks has been a leader in the ready-to-drink coffee category since 1994 and we continue to focus on beverage innovation with the highest quality coffee and ingredients,” Starbucks channel development Americas’ vice president, Chanda Beppu, said in a press release. “This year, we’re excited to provide customers with their favorite ready-to-drink Starbucks beverages in new flavors and formats, like Starbucks Cold & Crafted on Tap and the new Starbucks Frappuccino coffee drink with Oatmilk.”
Customers can now order them from store outlets, and they are also available in grocery stores for $3.40. It was mentioned that fans could also buy the new bottled drinks from various retailers across the U.S., such as convenience stores and service stations.
Meanwhile, the plant-based bottled Caramel Waffle Cookie and Dark Chocolate Brownie Frappuccinos are not the only products that Starbucks is releasing at the start of this year. The coffee brand has also unveiled its new energy drink line called the Baya Energy, Starbucks Dark Chocolate Cold Brew with Oatmilk, Starbucks Tripleshot Zero Sugar Milk Chocolate, Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew Splash of Sweet Cream, which will be released later this year, and more.
