The lengthy synopsis for “Eat, Pray, Liv” posted on TV Guide, “To help Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) solve the murder of a lifestyle guru, Liv (Rose McIver) consumes the victim's brain and takes on his Zen approach to life.
Meanwhile, Ravi's (Rahul Kohli) old boss, Katty Kupps (Christina Cox), gets closer to discovering the truth and gets closer to Ravi; Blaine (David Anders) and Peyton (Alyson Michalka) continue their budding friendship, much to Ravi's dismay; and Major (Robert Buckley) struggles a bit at his new job.”
The upcoming episode will follow Liv as she transforms into a Zen-inspired lifestyle guru as one of the intricacies of her job as a medical examiner, who eats brains of the recently deceased to solve murders. The sneak peak for episode 3 posted on Spoilers Guide opens to Liv and Ravi in the lab as they take a break.
Liv hands Ravi an “almond milk chai latte” while she gets the “strong stuff” but immediately switches the cups upon realizing that she got the human drink. In the next scene, Ravi contemplates the life of the recently murdered victim and wonders if the man died with any regrets and wrong decisions. He then asks Liv about Peyton to which she replies that he should ask her anything he wants to know himself.
Suddenly, Dr. Christina Cox ambles her way back into the lab. Ravi looks surprised to see his old boss again and they exchange pleasantries as she lugs in her suitcases. Although she insists that there is no need for Ravi to be too formal with her since he no longer works for her, she still asks him to get her a drink.
When Christina turns to the victim on the examining table, Liv comments, “Death and life are both sides of a single coin. In a way, he’s still alive and always will be.” Christina and Ravi then look at her with surprised expressions.
‘iZombie’ season 3’s episode 3, titled “Eat, Pray, Liv,” is scheduled to air on The CW on April 18, 2017. It was directed by Mairzee Almas and written by Graham Norris. It will be followed by episode 4, titled "Wag the Tongue Slowly," directed by Viet Nguyen and scheduled to be released on April 25.
