TORONTO, Sept. 11, 2017 -- iLOOKABOUT Corp. (TSXV:ILA) (“iLOOKABOUT” or “the Company”) today announced it has again expanded the number of municipal clients to which it has licensed its Real Property Tax Analytics (“RPTA”) software as part of their comprehensive assessment based management programs. The Cities of Newmarket, Port Hope, Toronto, Waterloo and Greater Sudbury now join many of their municipal colleagues with access to a powerful property assessment analytics and software platform that combines the data attributes of more than 5.1 million properties in Ontario. The integration of mapping, aerial and street level imagery, insightful comparable modeling and the ability to generate predictive valuations using algorithms proprietary to iLOOKABOUT brings a unique new tool set to the desk tops of Treasurers and Assessment Review Officers for reviewing and analyzing a municipality's assessment roll.
Many users point to RPTA's ability to simply and easily evaluate Minutes of Settlement and generate comparable assessments for similar properties in real time as the primary benefits, while others suggest that the application's support of their staff's responsibility to gather information in real-time, enhancing the ability to demonstrate to taxpayers fair and equitable treatment of their property for property tax purposes is the most often used function.
"We're exceptionally pleased with the confidence placed in our technology by a growing number of municipalities across Ontario," remarked Laurence Rose, Chief Executive Officer of iLOOKABOUT, “RPTA is an important component of iLOOKABOUT’s growth plan and an increasing number of municipal customers are seeing the value of being able to use data and analytics to supplement risk management within the context of taxation and valuation."
With more than two dozen Municipal, County and Regional governments making use of its application software and taking advantage of its expertise in assessment, appeal and tax management consulting, iLOOKABOUT continues to extend its service offering across the public sector.
