SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 26, 2017 -- Zuora, Inc., the leading provider of subscription order-to-cash solutions, today announced the appointment of Karen Gaydon as Senior Vice President of ZEO Success -- the company’s human resources department focused on inspiring, engaging, developing and empowering its employees worldwide. Karen joins the experienced Zuora® management team, bolstering its bench of seasoned global enterprise executives.
At Zuora, every employee is a ‘ZEO’ – the CEO of their job and career. As a ZEO, every employee is empowered to make and own their decisions and contributions to the company. This concept serves as the foundation for Zuora’s entrepreneurial culture.
“We’ve created an amazing company with incredible employees and potential. Adding Karen to the leadership team as head of ZEO Success is the next step in building a world-class company,” said Tien Tzuo, founder and CEO at Zuora. “Her unique experience helping companies of various sizes, business models and growth trajectories will help us accelerate our success at scale.”
Karen comes to Zuora from Synaptics, where she spent five years leading human resources. She saw Synaptics through a period of massive growth and expansion. Karen drove several global human resources strategies during her tenure there that helped the company successfully triple in size including recruiting, M&A, talent development, employee engagement and building a strong company culture. Karen also led the corporate marketing team, responsible for communications, events, and public relations. Prior to Synaptics she held a variety of US and international HR leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard.
Having recently surpassed 800 employees and approaching 1,000 customers worldwide, Zuora will benefit from Karen’s extensive experience implementing innovative employee engagement strategies, operational excellence, and people development as the company continues to grow internationally.
“I am proud to join Zuora and be a part of the exciting vision that Tien and the team have created. Zuora’s one-of-a-kind ZEO culture is incredibly special and instrumental to the success of the business. I look forward to helping every ZEO become wildly successful in their careers by championing their continuous learning and fun,” said Karen Gaydon, SVP of ZEO Success at Zuora.
