Zebpay, leading Indian bitcoin trading platform, has announced a milestone that it has crossed more than 100,000 downloads on Android and iOS, which reflects the growing interest of Indians in bitcoins as an investment, commodity, and technology.
According to the official announcement, the success comes, a year after the launch of Zebpay. The bitcoin application is available on Android and iPhones. Zebpay enables users to buy and sell bitcoins recharge their airtime across India and buy vouchers of Amazon, Flipkart etc.
“100,000 downloads is a big milestone for us. We are currently adding 20,000 users every month and we are confident about meeting the target of touching 350,000 downloads by the end of 2016! We are on a mission to spread bitcoins in India. We believe it has a potential to bring technological disruption in financial infrastructure”, Mahin Gupta, co-founder and CTO of Zebpay said.
Zebpay has 4.3+ rating for the Android App and ranks as the no.1 app for bitcoin in India. Zebpay also enables linking of bitcoins with the user’s mobile number so that users need not worry about bitcoin addresses and wallet backups.
In April this year, Zebpay announced another milestone that it has crossed INR 100-crore turnover in just 10 months of its operation on the back of rising popularity of the digital currency in India.
