In a seismic shift, y00ts announces its bold exit from Polygon, returning a $3 million grant, and now aims to merge with the influential DeGods community on Ethereum. This comes ahead of LA's DeLabs launching DeGods Season III. The strategic move signals a new NFT era bridging y00ts and DeGods.

Signalizing this pivotal shift, y00ts has officially announced its upcoming migration to Ethereum, championing the integration as an opportunity to foster unity between the DeGods and y00ts communities. The migration date will be disclosed imminently, accompanied by an eagerly anticipated Season III release from DeGods, enhancing the excitement surrounding the migration news.

The decision to migrate away from Solana was initially made public in December. Rohun Vora, DeGods project leader known as Frank, explained in a spirited Twitter Spaces discussion that the collection had reached its peak potential on Solana. Before the announcement, an astonishing 70% of all Solana NFT sale volume was attributed to the sales of DeGods and y00ts, according to the NFT marketplace, Magic Eden.

Previously, y00ts had successfully migrated to Polygon earlier this year, utilizing the grant funds to bolster their team and advance their ambitious project. In an act of goodwill, Polygon has pledged to reallocate $1 million of the refunded grant to empower creators and builders within its native network.

Expressing his sentiments, Vora took to Twitter and stated, "it's all love" between the involved parties, acknowledging their joint efforts to make the collaboration work. Vora emphasized the logical decision for y00ts to align with DeGods on the Ethereum chain, citing the collective vision driving both projects.

Witnessing this evolutionary development unfold, Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal expressed his support for Vora and his team, commending their instrumental role in expanding Polygon's flourishing NFT ecosystem. Promising to nurture the rapidly growing NFT community, Nailwal affirmed Polygon's commitment to redeploy y00ts funds and allocate additional resources to empower their visionary creators and projects.

With y00ts' migration to Ethereum, a new chapter begins in the captivating world of NFTs, where the convergence of art and utility knows no bounds.

Shortly after the y00ts announcement, it's been revealed that Season 3 of DeGods is on the horizon. It will introduce generative art to the collection, removing undesirable traits and adding gender-swappable NFTs.
