NEW YORK, Feb. 01, 2018 -- Innovid, the world’s leading video marketing platform, today announced a partnership with XUMO to bring fully addressable, interactive capabilities to Internet-based live TV channels. Launching as the first of its kind on LG’s Channel Plus service, exclusively powered by XUMO, the new partnership enables a seamless and uninterrupted viewing experience with dynamic ads appearing alongside relevant content.
“By teaming up with XUMO, Innovid is adding full support for live content to our OTT monetization platform, which we believe is key to growth in the OTT sector,” said Tal Chalozin, CTO and co-founder, Innovid. “Simplicity, ease of use and frictionless experiences are key to scale in the future of TV. We believe marrying slick native TV experiences with advanced monetization capabilities can truly be a win for viewers, content owners and marketers alike.”
Available now on XUMO and LG’s Channel Plus powered by XUMO, this marks the first time that marketers have fully addressable overlays on live internet TV and a full understanding of the viewer sessions, allowing them to tailor a broader branded experience that goes beyond a single “30-second” ad. The XUMO and Innovid partnership enables all exposure-based measurement, providing marketers with quantifiable data on frequency and exposure.
“Our collaboration with Innovid offers advertisers the opportunity to place personalized messages inside premium content without interrupting the primary viewing experience,” said Chris Hall, Senior Vice President of Product at XUMO. “The live internet TV ad capabilities allow for new revenue generation and viewers are able to enjoy content they love without disruption.”
“As a content partner, these new executions allow us to extend our brand relationships to the biggest screen in the house in an innovative and engaging manner, with little interruption to the viewers at home,” added Zach Alter, Head of Sales at Jukin Media. “We’re excited to continue working with XUMO and their forward-thinking approach to OTT.”
