Content update, also known as 8.3 – officially titled “Visions of N’Zoth” – is one of the most awaited releases for the “World of Warcraft” universe early in 2020. Blizzard has finally announced when it is going to launch, along with the complete schedule of five raids that it will unlock.
‘World of Warcraft: Visions of N’Zoth’ release date, raid schedules
Per the WoW tradition, upcoming content updates are linked to previous game plots. This time, the results of the story set in the Eternal Palace have led to the escape of a god called N’Zoth, who becomes the final boss enemy to defeat in “World of Warcraft: Visions of N’Zoth.”
Patch 8.3.0 was first announced in early October, and it is now confirmed that “World of Warcraft: Visions of N’Zoth” will officially go live on Tuesday, Jan. 14. Note that this content update is being released under the expansion “Battle for Azeroth.”
The first “World of Warcraft: Visions of N’Zoth” raid will be unlocked on Jan. 21 and can be played in normal and heroic difficulties. Four raids will follow, starting with the new one called “Vision of Destiny.” It is set in Ny’alotha, the Walking City, where players will be facing corrupted versions of known characters, including Wrathion, Ra-Den, Queen Azshara, Vexiona, and Il'gynoth.
The rest of the raids in “World of Warcraft: Visions of N’Zoth” are “Halls of Devotion” on Feb. 11, “Gift of Flesh” on Feb. 25, and “The Waking Dream” on March 10. Overall, players will go up against 12 bosses in all these raids, with N’Zoth being the final opponent.
‘World of Warcraft: Visions of N’Zoth’ introduces 2 new allied races
Another highly awaited content arriving in “World of Warcraft: Visions of N’Zoth” are the two new allied races that players will be using in the said raids. The first race is named the Vulpera, described as nomads and scavengers. These traits make them valuable allies with reliable skills in finding outdoor camp locations and helping players to teleport back to the camps when needed.
The second new allied race in “World of Warcraft: Visions of N’Zoth” is called Mechagnomes – an apparent wordplay on mechanics and gnomes. They have well-designed prosthetics while finding the balance of having both flesh and steel in their bodies. Some of their racial traits include automatic healing for players with low-level health, opening locked chests, and producing doppelganger-like decoys to distract the enemies.
