What’s the Right Dose of CBD for Pain Relief and What Are the Best CBD Oils for Pain in 2021?

How many times have you read that CBD can help with pain? My guess is a billion times. Pain management seems to be the “poster line” for anyone talking about cannabidiol.

Indeed, CBD does a great job on pain of all kinds.

But one thing we don’t hear too often is the right amount of CBD needed to achieve pain relief. At least, with over-the-counter aspirin or ibuprofen, we always know what dose to take and how long to take it.

So, why is CBD’s dosage so hidden and shady that nobody wants to talk about it?

Because nobody really knows! Believe it or not, there are no global dosage guidelines for using CBD for pain treatment.

However, that’s not to say there aren’t tips to guide you. There are, and we’re going to show them to you. But first, we’ll like to show you the best CBD oil companies in the world right now.

How to figure out the right dosage of CBD for pain relief

Now, say you’ve purchased some of Gold Bee’s CBD oil. What next? How do you know what quantity to start with, or to use on the second day, or when to stop?

Remember we said we’d have some tips to guide you through CBD dosing? Let’s see what those tips are.

How to figure out the right dosage of CBD for pain relief

  1. Talk to an expert

This is probably not what you were expecting to learn, but it’s the first step in the right direction. You need the help of an expert (preferably a doctor with expertise in cannabidiol) to understand the right dosage for you.

The reason we say this is because “CBD can be a delicate tool,” according to Martin A. Lee, founder of Project CBD – a California-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting CBD.

Many factors play a part in how much CBD you should take to relieve your pain. For example, you need to understand your body mass index (BMI), the specific pain-related symptoms you wish to treat, any other medications you’re currently on, your health history, and so forth.

By speaking with a doctor who’s well-versed in CBD, they can prescribe the right range of dosages that’s best for your health and physical condition.

  1. Figure out the math yourself

Whatever number your doctor tells you, that’s just half of the job. You need to do some math yourself to break that down into daily dosing.

For example, say your doctor (after analyzing your weight, health history, and BMI) prescribes 25 mg of CBD per day for your back pain problem. What next?

The next step can be simple or hard depending on how you’ve chosen to use your CBD.

The simple part: If you’re taking CBD capsules or CBD gummies, all you have to do is check the back of the package and the information written there. Usually, you’ll find that each capsule or gummy contains something like 5 mg or 10 mg of CBD. If it says 5 mg, you know that you’re taking five pieces per day to reach your prescribed 25 mg dosage. If it’s 10 mg, then you need to take two-and-a-half pieces to reach 25 mg.

The hard part: If you’ve bought CBD oil, the math becomes harder. CBD oils generally come in bottles and are drawn out by droppers. Unfortunately, there's no way you can measure in grams with droppers. So, what do you do?

Correlate volume measurement with mass measurement. It is said that I drop of liquid from a dropper carries 0.05 ml.

Let’s say your CBD oil bottle is a 20 ml bottle; that would mean the bottle contains approximately 400 drops.

Additionally, let’s say there are 900 mg of CBD in the 20 ml bottle. That would mean there are 900 mg of CBD available in those 400 drops.

Note: you’ll see the amount of CBD present in your CBD oil on the bottle.

If that’s the case, then how much CBD (in mg) is available in one drop? 2.25 mg of CBD/drop!

Some might ask, "How did you come up with that?" It is basic math, my friend.

If 900 mg is available in 400 drops, then 450 mg will be available in 200 drops, and so on till you reach 2.25mg in one drop.

Since one drop contains 2.25 mg of CBD, if your doctor says you need 22.5 mg of CBD per day for your pain symptoms, that would mean you have to take 10 drops every day.
