The Wall Street Blockchain Alliance (WSBA) has announced the appointment of Juan Llanos to the trade group Advisory Board.
Llanos has built and managed compliance programs all over the world, and has held a number of senior positions at Unidos Financial Services and Remesas Quisqueyana, while building a reputation as an internationally recognized compliance thought leader. More recently, he led Bitreserve's (now Uphold) transparency and compliance strategy and is currently EVP of Business Development for analytics startup Coinalytics.
“Juan is a seasoned expert and a much sought-after advisor in financial markets, with a particular focus on anti-money laundering and regulatory compliance. His deep knowledge of the world of distributed ledgers and digital currencies make him a valuable addition to the WSBA. We look forward to his participation with the organization, and to working with him to grow the WSBA”, said Ron Quaranta, Chairman of the WSBA.
The WSBA is a non-profit trade association created for financial market professionals, by financial market professionals. It aims to guide and promote comprehensive adoption of digital currency technology across financial markets.

The association engages with regulators, policymakers and technology innovators through direct communication, comment letters, studies and more to guide the public dialogue about Digital Currencies and blockchain technology, so that the financial markets can realize the full potential of these capabilities.
