Voxelus announces 600 new free-to-play Virtual Reality worlds

Voxelus, the virtual reality (VR) content creation platform and marketplace, has announced 600 user developed virtual reality worlds have been already built and uploaded to the Voxelus Platform.

All the community creations are free to play in the Voxelus Viewer creations tab that features popular worlds with detailed descriptions, screenshots and a view of the number of plays and likes. All the worlds, uploaded by users from the Voxelus creator community, are optimized for multiplayer gameplay and immediately accessible via the Voxelus Viewer, which currently supports Samsung Gear VR and Oculus Rift for PC.

Voxelus users can access the prebuilt worlds using the Voxelus Viewer available for the Samsung Gear VR or Oculus rift. Also, in the Voxelus website creations tab users can view what has been uploaded recently before getting started with VR. All the worlds are created by the community of developers and artists who have downloaded the Voxelus Creator since its introduction at Oculus Connect, and are only accessible in the Voxelus marketplace on the web.

"The prebuilt worlds give users a quick view of the Voxelus experience, allowing them to see what the community has been building and immediately jump in and play," said CEO Martin Repetto. "The Voxelus marketplace, which features more premium 3D assets at competing prices, offers even more opportunities to build custom VR worlds and play in just a few clicks."

The Voxelus Creations Tab now features a Monthly World Creation Contest that allows content creators to develop new worlds for Voxelus and compete for a chance to win Voxels, the in-game coin of the realm, which enables users to buy and sell custom assets. Participants can earn up to 5,000 Voxels each month.

“In just a couple of years, we built the world’s first end-to-end community content creation and gaming platform for virtual reality, the largest marketplace for VR content, and in-game currency,” said CEO Martin Repetto. “With each development, we’re improving our framework and building our content library to offer the most robust marketplace and platform for virtual reality creation and gaming.”
