US Election Series: Anger would persist even if Trump loses

Why was Bernie Sanders so successful in his campaign? Clinton won but when it comes to passionate followers, Bernie is clearly ahead of Clinton. He was successful because he was able to tap into the anger of the people, their frustration with the political elite. That is exactly what Republican nominee Donald Trump tapped into and he is more successful than Bernie Sanders. In recent days, Trump has called his race a movement, just like Bernie Sanders did, when he was fighting primaries against Hillary Clinton. When twenty, thirty thousand people line up for hours to attend Trump rallies so that they can see his live speeches, it is a movement. While Bernie was successful in appealing to the millennial, Trump has appealed to Americans as a whole. And Trump has talked on topics, which no career politicians would dare talk about. He has given millions and millions of Americans, who are just tired of being pushed aside by Washington elites that their time has come and a real change is here.

Donald Trump has been branded as racist, billionaire fraud, and the mainstream republicans are not with him, yet the pollsters and media, who said that he would lose to Hillary Clinton, expects him to get more than 40 percent of votes. That’s a lot many Americans looking for a change and angry at the current state of their livelihood. Even if Donald Trump loses, the anger would remain and unless they are addressed and issues solved, this would remain hibernated waiting to erupt. Most of the surveys show 70 percent of the Americans believe that the country is in the wrong track. If Mrs. Clinton fails to address it, she would have just four years of Presidency.
