UK March industrial production stronger than expected

United Kingdom March industrial production data were stronger than expected (+0.5% m/m; consensus flat), though this largely reflected a bounce in oil and gas production with manufacturing output close to expectations.

The ONS say the data are not strong enough to imply a revision to the poor Q1 GDP data. GBP's gains on the crosses seem to have lost some momentum today.
