Turkish industrial production dropped in June. On a year-on-year basis, industrial production fell 3.9 percent. When the subsectors of the industry were examined, mining and quarrying index rose 4.8 percent, manufacturing index fell 4.6 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index rose 0.5 percent in June, on a year-on-year basis.
Sequentially, industrial production fell 3.7 percent in June. Mining and quarrying index rose 2.4 percent, whereas manufacturing index dropped 4.2 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index fell 1.3 percent in June, sequentially.
In the second quarter, industrial production dropped 3 percent year-on-year. The seasonally and calendar adjusted industrial production rose 0.5 percent quarter-on-quarter.
