Turkish consumer confidence index rises slightly in January

Turkish consumer confidence rose marginally in the month of January. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, the seasonal adjusted consumer confidence index rose 0.1 percent sequentially to 58.82 in January from December’s 58.77.

Meanwhile, the financial situation expectation of household index rose 2.3 percent in January to 79.5 from December’s 77.7. The general economic situation expectation index of consumers in the next 12 months period rose 1.1 percent to 77.4 from 76.5 in December.

The number of people unemployed expectation index in the next 12 months period dropped 0.5 percent to 56.8 in January from December’s 57.1. The probability of saving index in the next 12 months period dropped 9.1 percent to 21.6 in January from December’s 23.8.
